A full-featured messenger with chats, voice rooms, and video calls — without revealing your identity. No one will learn your number, email, or real name unless you choose to share them.

Why it matters

A phone number is the new "digital identity." With it, someone can be found on social networks, linked to advertising profiles, and used for ad targeting. Many services resell contact databases to third parties. When you sign up with a number, you lose control over who gets to know it.

In GoMsg, a phone number and email are not required at all. An account is simply a username and password that you come up with yourself. That's it. No SMS verification codes, no "confirmation" emails, no "recovery through your contacts."

How to sign up

  • Open the web version or the GoMsg app for Android, Windows, or Linux.
  • Click "Sign up" — on the login screen.
  • Pick a username (a unique name other users will see).
  • Choose a password and repeat it.
  • Done. Your account is created in 10 seconds.

There are no "phone," "email," "date of birth," or "real name" fields in the sign-up form. Not because they're "hidden" — they're simply not needed.

What you can do right after signing up

  • Message other users. Find anyone by their username — no contacts are pulled from your phone book.
  • Create group chats — for family, friends, or colleagues.
  • Join a voice room — talk over voice or video.
  • Share files — photos, videos, documents, with no limits.
  • Create bots — for automation and integrations.

How it differs from other messengers

  • Telegram requires a phone number. You can't sign up without one.
  • WhatsApp is tied to your phone number — that's your entire account.
  • Signal also requires a phone number.
  • Discord asks for an email or a number during sign-up.
  • GoMsg — none of this is needed. Just a username and password.
Privacy by default

You decide what others know about you. Don't want to share your name — pick a pseudonym. Don't want to show a photo — upload any image or leave it blank. If you later decide to add an email for recovery — it's optional and can be done in settings.

What if you forget your password

When signing up without an email, the password can't be recovered — you need to remember it or save it in a password manager. That's the price of anonymity: there's no "backdoor" that attackers could also exploit. If you value privacy, this is a conscious choice.

If you'd rather play it safe — add an email in settings after signing up. Password recovery will then work. A phone number is never required.
